Now Accepting Applications for the 2025 Proof of Principle Grant Competition
Are you a SickKids researcher developing a therapeutic, diagnostic, or medical device with potential for real-world impact?
The SickKids Industry Partnerships & Commercialization (IP&C) office is now accepting applications for the annual Proof of Principle (PoP) Grant Competition.
The PoP Grant provides up to $100,000 in project funding, along with commercialization support, to help researchers advance early-stage innovations toward commercial readiness. The program is designed to help bridge the gap between discovery and market by supporting activities such as prototype validation, regulatory planning, and de-risking—positioning technologies for partnership, licensing or spinout.
To be eligible, technologies must fall into one of the following categories: therapeutics/vaccines, diagnostics, or medical devices (including software-based innovations in these categories). Applications must demonstrate a clear use case and commercial potential.
